Dr. Burket maintains memberships with state and national medical and dental organizations. Not only do these organizations provide support and information, but they help track physicians' and dentists' continuing education. In order to maintain his medical and dental license, Dr. Burket is required to take courses in his specialties.
Dr. Burket is Board Certified in Family Medicine. The American Academy of Family Physicians monitors and controls this status. Physicians are required to take an extensive, comprehensive exam approximately every 7 years along with ongoing, annual continuing education courses.
Dr. Burket believes strongly in giving back to the community. He has provided medical and dental care to school children through Head Start, and also provides free dental care through Northwest Medical Teams' mobile dental van.
Dr. Burket and his family plan to volunteer in Guatemala and other third-world countries, providing dental and medical care and helping people in underserved communities.
